Anencephaly Awareness Month

Anencephaly Awareness

Anencephaly Awareness month.

When we found out about our daughter’s condition at our 18-week check-up, we had no idea what it was or even heard of Anencephaly. We immediately started looking up everything about it. There isn’t a whole lot out there about Anencephaly. It’s pretty straight forward when it comes to the diagnosis.

I believe It is our job to bring more awareness about Anencephaly so that that research can continue, and we can find answers to why this happens.

Anencephaly is a rare neural tube defect that only occurs in about 1 in per 5,000 to 10,000 births in the U.S. You can click this link to learn more about Anencephaly. https://dmpi.duke.edu/anencephaly

May 15th is Anencephaly Awareness day! I would love for all my friends and Family to wear green on this day with us to honor Holland Grey. Take pictures of you and your Family wearing green and tag us on Facebook or Instagram! We would love to see them!
